Agloco Explains Payment Plan

There have been mixed reactions to Agloco's initial payment plan. Some have expressed anger, some joy, and some were simply not surprised and were accepting.

Here is what Agloco had to say:

____________________________________

"OCTOBER UPDATE"

Oct. 12 2007

First – for those of you who have given some thoughtful ideas, questions and opinions on our posts during the last two weeks – thank you.

At this point, we would like to give some feedback on some of the ideas and thoughts given.

Is the payment plan posted last month a permanent plan? No – as noted in a comment we made this is a plan we wanted to implement now to show Members that even though AGLOCO is currently losing money the hours they are putting in now would be compensated. Our website states that we will make no distributions until profitable. We could have considered a plan that the June, July, and August hours would be paid zero since no profits were forthcoming. We felt that would be an unfair plan to those Members who were supporting AGLOCO in its startup period. That is the purpose of this initial plan.

Can the payments be sped up? Of course they could – although the idea we were considering was making additional ‘bonus’ payments to the early hours (June, July, August, etc 2007 hours) when and if additional funds became available.

Should AGLOCO borrow money to pay Members? We believe this would be a critical error for AGLOCO. Giving out money that it was not earning was the downfall of AllAdvantage and we believe that spending only what AGLOCO makes is the best course for long term stability.

Why have tradable hours? A number of Members have asked about doing this and we looked into it. It seemed like a possible good solution for those Members who had joined now, but were not wanting to wait for AGLOCO to mature to reap some benefits. Getting ownership to Members will be a costly process which would done on a country by country basis. We had hoped to be over 10,000,000 AGLOCO Members at this point to help spread those costs. At a bit over one million Members, AGLOCO is not yet big enough to justify the costs (instead of Member distributions we would have lawyers’ bills.)

By having hours that have a potential residual income stream plus potential quarterly or annual bonus distributions coming in, we felt that these hours would have tradable value today which Members wanting to sell could realize. In this way Members wanting cash now could get it and Members wanting more of AGLOCO’s future could also get it. That is how the tradability of hours relates to the bonus payments and residual payments in this initial distribution plan.

Tradable hours versus ownership? It is not possible to have the AGLOCO hours (or accounts) tradable/salable and still have the potential plan for those hours being used directly in AGLOCO future ownership system (creates a potential securities law conflict). That is why we have asked for feedback on this issue as there have so many requests to make hours tradable. If hours did become salable now and we ended up not using hours in the future for ownership, we would need to develop a new method of giving the ownership of AGLOCO to Members as the Management Company is fully committed that AGLOCO Members get the economic benefits of AGLOCO (and the Management Company gets their 10%). We believe it is this division of economics that is the core of why AGLOCO is a good long term company for Members. – All of this does not mean that in a year or so that we could not use all of the hours to distribute ownership, it just severs any connection at this time.

Where did the $100,000 go in June, July and August? During those June, July and August AGLOCO’s biggest monthly costs were $15,000 to $20,000 in monthly server, bandwidth etc. costs – $15,000 to $25,000 a month for the tech team in Shanghai – and $2,000 a month for the Member Service team in the Philippines (Plus about $1,000 a month in other costs.)

One million Members? Yes AGLOCO has over one million verified Members – with over 350,000 downloads and with over 250,000 Viewbars having been used more than the five hours credit limit

Do Members have to buy things for AGLOCO to succeed? In every economic system trade must occur or it will fail. AGLOCO is no exception. Companies will not want to partner with (or advertise with) AGLOCO if it is not profitable for them. So they will measure the results of their partnering/advertising with AGLOCO and if it is not profitable they will stop. This is one of the great things about Google, Yahoo, Ask etc. Ads on their systems work. People click on some of the ads and then some of them go on to buy. This will also be true for AGLOCO. While no individual Member need be a specific buyer, as a group the AGLOCO Membership needs to be worth advertising to in order for AGLOCO to succeed.

Website? We know it needs work and we know it can take only minutes. Our chief problem here is that in June we used our website editing server to help stabilize the website and we have not had time to install a new editing server. This means all edits must be done by the tech team in Shanghai and we have not wanted to break them from the more revenue generating tasks mainly integrating Ask.com. A project which is still occupying them full time. We hope to rectify this soon.

Beta Viewbar? The Viewbar we are all using is an early version. We are using the beta term to signify that we have a great deal of work left to do on the Viewbar before we feel it is of production quality. It will probably be in beta for another 12 to 18 months at least. Essentially, all of AGLOCO is in Beta right now as we all learn the realities of what can be done and how to do it.

17 ad networks? Prior to the first download of the Viewbar we had an agreement with a third party to supply AGLOCO from 17 ad networks. While working with the tech team to implement this system it became apparent that the third party would not be able to deliver on their promise. We then came up with two networks to use and an ad server system that did not have targeting ability in order to launch the Viewbar. The Ask.com deal is a significant step forward on that front.

Ads for the Viewbars in India? While Ask.com covers searching in India, we have had trouble interesting an ad network for Viewbar ads for our Indian Members. A few weeks ago Tyroo and AGLOCO were unable to reach an agreement to supply ads in India. (While we are committed to working on a Win98 Viewbar, having a local Indian ad network would help move it up on the priority list for the tech team. If any Indian Member has good connections at an Indian ad network we could use a good introduction there. Use email partners@agloco.com to help make contact.)

Tech questions that go unanswered? Members sometimes post technical questions. Unless this is a widespread problem we usually do not respond to these in the blog. They are best sent to Member services at help@agloco.com. Most often we can not ‘fix’ an individual Member’s tech problem because unless it effects many Members and unless there are a couple of good data points to find out the source of the problem, it is currently too expensive for AGLOCO to try to have a tech person work on a single problem at this point. Some other tech problems which do effect multiple Members are on the correction list; like the ads in the Viewbar not rotating for all users, which is a combination browser and ad server problem. We worked hard to fix this at the server lever and did fix some of the problem (this is a third-party ad server – not ours) Since we knew we would be changing ad servers within a couple of months we decided to focus resources on the Ask.com needs instead of working more on an ‘old’/existing ad server – which we do not even own.

What can you do to help? While we do not have any results from Ask.com yet, we are hopeful that revenue from Ask will put AGLOCO on a stable footing, allowing both distributions and service expansion. We believe that AGLOCO’s active Membership is one of AGLOCO’s biggest strengths. At this point, we hope to start to take real advantage of this strength with some of the revenue from the Ask.com deal. If you are interested in getting more involved and helping to build the company we would like to know. (There were some comments in the blog about setting up a forum and having moderators for example). We are sure some AGLOCO Members could make contributions to the Viewbar, the website, revenue improvements and other operations. Use the partners@agloco.com address if you are interested. Please indicate any area of interest and any expertise you have – like software engineer.

People making nonsense comments on this blog? By most standards AGLOCO has a very open blog comment policy. When we see spam comments, repetitive comments, rude comments as well as spotting comments with offensive language, we try to delete them. We probably leave too many comments on the blog, but we have felt that even though some of the negative statements are untrue or gross exaggerations – sometimes some of the positive ones are as well. For the most part we see comments as people’s opinions and we try not to edit them.

Downloading the Viewbar – We have commented in the past that we were having trouble with Tucows working, We have added the ability to download at CNET’s Download.com Here is a link to that. http://www.download.com/Viewbar/3000-2381-10753362.html?part=dl-Viewbar& subj=uo&tag=button This will be changed on the website when we get to all those projects.

Thanks for all of your efforts for AGLOCO.

Agloco's First Major Revenue Partner!

Here is the official blog post from the Agloco website, which explains Ask.com has partnered with Agloco, and is now the official search engine for the Viewbar. This is great news as this adds credibility to Agloco and pushes away many doubters and any doubts you may have had about this company and the opportunity. As the blog mentions stay tuned as in the next 2 weeks Agloco WILL TALK SPECIFICALLY ABOUT MEMBER PAYOUT

Revenue – As we posted previously, we completed a major revenue partnership. AGLOCO is excited to announce that Ask.com will soon become AGLOCO’s official worldwide default search provider.

First, we have been very impressed with Ask.com’s desire to be in business with the AGLOCO Membership. (We feel that business works best when both parties want to work together.) More importantly, we are impressed with Ask.com’s search performance.

According to the August 14, 2007 report, of the University of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), Ask rates right with Yahoo and Google in customer satisfaction - Ask 75, Yahoo 79 and Google 78. Also, ForeSee Results added that, “Ask has had the biggest increase over time of any e-business company measured by the ACSI, up 21% since it was first measured… Ask.com seems to be well-positioned to rival Google in the coming years because it has a strong search technology lauded by analysts and users alike.” We will be adding Ask to the Viewbar in the next couple of weeks and we hope you enjoy the results as much as we have.

This is a very important step for AGLOCO and will greatly improve of revenue starting in October. Many of us have been using the Ask.com search system this last month and agree with the comment above that it is equal to and sometimes more helpful than Google. So we hope Members are as equally enthusiastic about Ask as we are.

Tech Update - Since moving the servers and fixing crucial items like hour displays, the tech team has since been occupied by installing the Ask.com system. The tucows download problem has also been fixed. We know we need updates to the website – they have not made the top of the list yet.

Media – Mike Klingler has a full written transcript of his interview with Brian. Mike and other Members have worked to make this available to all Members in several languages at: Click here to listen to the interview. Click here for written transcript

Member distributions – We will be doing a Member distribution post within the next two weeks with an update of this crucial issue. It will also include an update of the AGLOCO financial position. AGLOCO crossed over the 1,000,000 Member mark a couple of months ago. And while not the 10,000,000 surge we had set as our summer goal, it is still a fine achievement that you all have made happen. If you missed the previous post on distributions, you can read it at Member distributions

Thanks for all of your efforts for AGLOCO.

Agloco Explains - Cash Distributions - MUST READ

The Viewbar has been out for just about three weeks at this point. We are crossing 20% activation and hope to exceed 50% by the end of the summer. New verified Member signups are back near record levels and growing.

As I mentioned in my last post, stabilizing the Viewbar, the website, and the ad rotation has been our first priority. While it took more time and more money than we had planned, the Viewbar is performing well (ad rotation aside). It has been seamlessly upgraded on Member computers a couple of times and the percentage of Members with Viewbar problems is low. In stabilizing the website, among the steps we took was adding an alternate Viewbar download site (tucows.com). Now that we are more comfortable with the website stability, we will also begin updating the website more frequently again.

As far as the ads go, I am pleased to announce that we have just reached an agreement to make major improvements toward increased Viewbar revenue. As noted earlier, we launched the Viewbar and our ad volume swamped the ad server of our third party supplier. While it has improved, the current system is still not working up to the standards needed (weak rotation ability and unable to connect properly with several networks). Given that the current state of affairs makes it difficult to implement our search, profile and geographic targeting (which are necessary to make Viewbar ads effective), we sought a new arrangement which will give all that to AGLOCO. This will take 5 to 6 weeks to be activated. As a result, revenue for the months of June and July will be low, as the current system cannot be improved any faster.

We will also have the ability for an AGLOCO online ad auction system like Google’s AdSense so advertisers will be able to buy Viewbar ads directly.

As a global community, AGLOCO Members live all over the world. To maximize Member income, we will need to address that with our advertisers (as well as with our Members). Our new ad system will have a country specific system for advertisers (we are told that this will be available at the end of the summer and not for all countries). At that point we will likely have to ask each Member for a language preference to make the advertisers aware. Keep in mind that it is very costly to support multiple languages (it’s easy to just display them, but language support includes full Member support, email communication, etc., in that language), so additional supported languages will probably not be forthcoming before that.

In order to reach profitability quickly (which is necessary to make cash distributions to Members - as I will detail below), we keep AGLOCO expenses to a minimum. Many of you make great suggestions for improvements we could make to AGLOCO, but unfortunately they are not yet in our affordable budget. We have tried to implement the less costly improvements while recognizing that the major changes will have to wait longer. We do hear all of your suggestions, but AGLOCO needs to become sustainable and make Member distributions as fast as possible. To keep expenses low, for example, in the year or so we have been working on AGLOCO, no development team member has been paid for their work (not to mention that some of you have been working very hard to help build AGLOCO as well and have not yet received the rewards of that work either). And with that we are turning our attention to revenue (and distributions to members).

Members often ask when they will be paid by AGLOCO, and how much they will be paid. I must admit that I have a bit of hesitation to address this issue, only because I do not want Members to misunderstand anything I say and/or take it as a “promise or prediction” of what AGLOCO will exactly do in the future. So, I will write the following with the disclaimer that everything I say below, specifically regarding when Members will be paid or how much, is only an illustration and does not constitute a promise of any sort. Capiche? Capiche.

Here is some information about cash payments in “FAQ” form.

When are the cash payouts going to begin?

The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below). I have spoken about this on the blog twice before:

Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. While we do not know how large our initial revenue will be, we do know that AGLOCO has operating costs to pay. It is important to remember that AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick scheme”, and we maintain that the most prudent way to build AGLOCO as a sustainable company is to calibrate Member distributions to company earnings. As such, the cash payouts will not begin until there is a comfortable balance between AGLOCO’s free cash flow and AGLOCO’s expenses. It is important to add that all Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members.

Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

AGLOCO will be keeping Members informed of our financials (after a few months, when we start getting realistic numbers) so they can track our progress on this. At this point, if our new ad system is operational in August, we should be able to give meaningful numbers for September.

How are you going to pay me if you don’t have any of my payment information?

Before the cash payments begin we will verify your billing information and ask you to specify how you would like to be paid. We currently plan to have several forms of payment available, including check, direct deposit, and PayPal. Remember that only one account per Member is allowed.

Is there going to be a “minimum” payout level achieved in my account like many affiliate programs have?

Yes, a minimum will be required to keep transfer costs down. All sums not distributed are accumulated in the Member’s AGLOCO account until the minimum is reached.

How are the cash payments going to work?

So, here are three of the potential ways AGLOCO can pay Members. As you know, when you use the Viewbar you accumulate hours (currently up to 5 hours/month, and plus a credit of referral hours at a 25% rate). These hours, both your monthly totals and your overall accumulated hours, are the basis for cash distributions.

Monthy Viewbar hours: Based on the hours you and your referrals surf each month, you will get a share of the “distribution pie”. Your share is equal to your percentage of the total hours accumulated by all Members (including referral hours). How would this work? Here is a hypothetical example. Suppose in a given month AGLOCO distributes $100,000 for that month’s hour accumulation. Also suppose that the total hours all Members have accumulated that month is 1,000,000 hours. This means that AGLOCO would pay $0.10 for each hour you are credited with that month. So in this example if you had accumulated (yourself plus referrals) 500 hours that month, you would be paid $50.

Total Viewbar hours: AGLOCO may also pay in the same manner as above based on total accumulated hours. This would “weight” the payment more towards those Members who joined and began accumulating hours earlier (including the time before the cash payouts have begun).

AGLOCO buying Hours for Cash: Here’s how it would work. AGLOCO would set a price per hour (say, $0.15), and we allow Members to sell their hours back to us at that rate. There would likely be a minimum number of hours you could sell. For instance, AGLOCO may only allow you to sell in 100-hour blocks. Hours that you sell would be deducted from your total accumulated hours for future distributions.

I realize that I have not given a concrete answer to “what an hour is worth”, “what a referral is worth”, or “the date you will be paid”. I wish I could. But, I maintain that to keep AGLOCO a sustainable venture, we must calibrate cash payouts to our actual positive cash flow, lest we suffer the same fate as AllAdvantage.

Ken Kuester made a great comment reflecting this a few weeks ago. He said:
For all of you that are asking for calculations for how much pay, just consider this. There is truly no way anyone can calculate with all variables. The pay is dependent upon the advertisers paying agloco, the search engines paying agloco, the merchants paying agloco the commissions on the sales to agloco members, and any other sources of income. This money all goes into a pool, of which agloco management gets 10% and the rest is divided among the owners/members. There you have it. income is variable, percentages for management and the owners ia fixed. membership is variable. These variable parts will change by the minute. No reasonable mathmatician will attempt to arrive at meaningful calculations with two massive variables and one fixed quantity. All the mathmatician can do at this point is offer statistical possibilities. In the short view, every person you sponsor now cuts down on the value of the cash pool individually. In the longer term, more members means agloco can charge more for the ads and make the cash pool larger. As far as clicking the ads, That will create cash pool money when the few make purchases and the merchant pays agloco the commission on the sale. In at least some cases, the member will immediately benefit from any discounts that are given to the agloco membership. Regards searches, I do not know what deal agloco has with google or the other search engines at this time, but I do know that as the membership goes up, so does the price google and the others will pay agloco for each search performed. Google currently pays aol 10 cents per search performed. Best I can tell you is the per hour pay will fall into a range somewhere between .00001 cents and 1,000.00 dollars per hour.( both top and bottom values estimated with the fact that everyone is so desparate for promises that poor Brian cannot say anything without it being considered a set in concrete promise.) I intentionally used extremes. Try to keep your shirt on and wait and see what materializes.

Wait a second, what about “shares”?

Our website talks about paying Members in “cash and shares”. As I’ve said before, I need to stay away from talking about “shares” in this blog. The lawyers would kill me if I went anywhere near talking about it because it is too easy to unwittingly violate a country’s securities laws.

  • AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick” scheme and never will be. By steadily using the Viewbar and building a sustainable business, we can make sure that Members will get distributions for years and years as we improve the usefulness of the Viewbar as a part of each Member’s desktop.

    The Viewbar is Ready.

I really dont know what else to say. The first version of the Viewbar is now released and available for download and use.

And for those who don't know LISTEN UP:

In its simplest form this is how Agloco works:

    - Agloco has developed a tool called the Viewbar. The
Viewbar subtly displays ads and discreetly runs on your computer for 5 hours
or less ever month (your choice).

    1. Companies pay Agloco to advertise (on the Viewbar) ie. google

    2. Agloco pays us to take 2 minutes to install and use the Viewbar.

    3. Agloco then pays us more if we build the network. i.e. after you sign up and install the Viewbar, you tell your best friend to do the same, or get all your Myspace friends to join with you.

    4. Agloco pays by the number of hours the Viewbar is run every month (5hr maximum (may increase to our benefit in the future))

    5. More people in your network = more hours of Viewbar running = more money for everyone!

Now its not theory, we can actually put it to the test and earn some money!

    It does exist!

John Chow says it exists and he has proof. John Chow was given the privilege by Akshay Mavani of Agloco to test out the Agloco Viewbar and give some insight.

This is very exciting news as we know it is truly near completion (but not completed due to the problems of the ad servers)

John Chow has made a video showing the actual Viewbar we will all be using in a very short while, and he goes through some of the features. Are you excited? I know I am.

I also noticed John Chow has reached 15 000 referrals. And here I am at a pathetic 680 referrals. I really need to get more referrals and you really need to join.

Is this your first time hearing about Agloco?

If this is the first site you have visited about Agloco and this is the first time you have heard about Agloco...

First I would like to congratulate you for discovering the opportunity of a lifetime.

    Opportunity of a lifetime why?

    - You have been given the opportunity to own shares in a company that will become so profitable and successful it was featured in the famous "Economist" magazine.

    - You have been given the opportunity to not only own shares in a great company, but you will be able to earn the shares FREE SIMPLY BY SURFING THE WEB AS YOU ALWAYS DO!

    LETS PUT THIS INTO PERSPECTIVE:

If before YouTube was released to the public, and the founders of YouTube said to you,

" If you like, I will give you shares in my company every month for free."

You rightfully ask, "How is this possible, is there some sort of catch what am I expected to do?"

the founder responds, " There is no catch, all you have to do is surf the web doing what you always do (Blogging, Myspace, Google, Horoscopes, Games, Chat, Reasearch, EVERYTHING) for every hour you surf you earn shares in our company."

Can you imagine how amazing it would be to own shares in a company for free before it was released?. Well YouTube was a NON PROFITING COMPANY WHICH WAS SOLD FOR 1.65 BILLION TO GOOGLE!

    ___________________________

Ya to bad, that scenario is to good to be true right? Free Shares in a potential billion dollar company, gimmie a break!

    NOT SO FAST!

Yes, that is right, Agloco is good and true.

Free shares by surfing the web in a company potentially worth hundreds of millions of dollars. You dont have to change your internet habits what so ever!

    Got a Mac

I just purchased an Apple MacBook:

    Intel Core Due 2 Processor
2 GHz, 512MB ram, DVD/RW Burner, crystal clear display...it really runs flawlessly. Beautiful machine.

So what does this have to do with Agloco?

Well nothing. Because the first version of the Viewbar will not yet be compatible with Mac operating systems.

My point? Well when I was shopping for computers Agloco affected my choices. Thats right, compatibility with Agloco was on my list of criteria for a new computer. This is a testament to how involved and well I guess you can say how attached I am with Agloco.

I did end up purchasing a Macbook, but no problem, because we can only use the Viewbar 5hrs a month, it will be no problem for me to do this on a PC, such as a Friends, or the extra ones around the house.

If Agloco were to increase the Viewbar viewing time (say 2hr = 1 share and min is 20hrs per month) By that time I am sure Agloco will have huge member numbers and a Mac version of the Viewbar will be out or pending.

Anyways, just a little story about how Agloco affects my life outside the computer world.

    Im Back

Yes, it has been a while since I have posted. I was thinking of what I should say about my long posting absence, or whether I should saying anything at all about it.

Why have I not made a post for a while? In short I momentarily lost interest.

Amazing huh? Well, this was a problem I was hoping Agloco members would not run into, let alone myself. I hate to talk negatively about Agloco but the duration we have had to wait and are still waiting has been very annoying. I do agree with building a perfect Viewbar, as it is the most fundamental aspect of Agloco (and us members of course!) However I am not all that impressed with the way Agloco has chosen to organize the information they release to us.

ie. Viewbar is due for release hopefully end of January mid February
Viewbar is due for release end of February - March
Viewbar is due for release early March
Viewbar is due for release end of March first weeks of April

Whats next? "Due to this...the engineers where unable to.... an unexpected...we are certain the Viewbar will be ready...." When? End of April, May, June?

The fact is I and many other have that childish "let down" syndrome. I would rather know we would not see the release of the Viewbar until 5 months after the launch of Agloco. As opposed to what has be going on where it has turned into a guessing game, or a quest to reveal the true release date of the Viewbar.

First of all, it probably would have been better for Agloco to have built the Viewbar prior to pre- launch. Then they could have built hype etc for five months (as they have done) and then released a definite public announcement stating the release date of the Viewbar.

    Sorry for the negativity guys.

So here is the turn around. I admire the fact that I am able to criticize Agloco, and I admire the fact that they will probably sooner or later view this post, it is great that Agloco has made themselves so "personalized" that I feel as though we are truly apart of this company.

Although I am not entirely happy about the wait (although essential) for the Viewbar, I am still amazed by the communication of this company with its members.

Props to all of my fellow Agloco'ers who have continued to provide useful and interesting information for the rest of us loafers.

I still have great faith in the success of Agloco, and I know when it is fully launched it will make waves across the net. Just look how popular it is right now.

There is no way I am going to bail now, I have invested so much time into what I think will be a great internet revolution, bailing out right now would just make no sense.

    My Goal

Its March 2nd and the release of the Viewbar is close. I made a goal for myself that I would hit 500 Referrals before the release of the Viewbar. I made this goal at a time when my network was growing rapidly by 10+ referrals a day. But just as fast as it exploded in growth it halted. About 2 weeks ago I was averaging just 1-3 referrals a day. I am happy to announce my network has got out of its slump and seems to be back to normal growth.

Anyways as far as my goal goes I am not too far away. I am currently sitting at 474 total referrals (19 this month of March) It the network continues to grow at a steady rate I will have achieved my goal in three days this assuming of course the Viewbar is not released within the next three days. I do not believe the Viewbar will be released the first half of March. Agloco has commented on this Go here.

How is everyone else doing with your networks?

    While You Wait

If you have a quality Agloco blog why not start earning money before the release of the Viewbar? That is what I am currently doing, it really keeps my mind occupied and satisfied with the blog while I wait for the anticipated Viewbar. How?

I am using Adbrite, this is a service a lot like Google Adsense only better! The payout per ad clicked is higher and the cost to advertise your site can be very low. Now I have to admit you don't earn that much with advertising such as Adsense and Adbrite ( I am currently earning about $0.25 per day.) However it takes absolutely no difficult work, all you do is go to the Adbrite website , sign up and install the code they give you into your blog or web page. Every time someone visits the site for a certain amount of time or clicks an ad they like you earn money.

The main reason I am implementing the idea is I want to use the money I earn to purchase a domain. Yeah I know domains are not that expensive, however I have said this many times, I want to make the FREE part of Agloco true. So far I have not spent a dime, and I would like to keep it that way.

It is my hope that I can prove you can earn with Agloco with out investing in anything. I am sure a lot of people think the opposite but believe it, I have so far accumulated 450 referrals in 2 months from nothing but Blogspot, Myspace, and a splash page on free hosting.

You don't have to be a marketing king, or have a wide web presence like John Chow and other known blog gurus for Agloco to work for you. Agloco is designed so that as long as you have access to the Internet and a few friends you will benefit.

    The Agloco Test Calculator

I am sure many of you have stumbled upon theaglocotest.com at least once during your Agloco venture. The Agloco Test has had a very unique and interesting take right from the start, monitoring his network growth through graphs from day one. The Agloco Test has now come up with a new version of the earnings calculator.

The Agloco Test version of the earnings calculator factors in much more accurately the percent of active surfers(Referral Conversion Ratio) and the percent of maximum hours your referrals will surf (Hourly Conversion Ratio.) You can adjust these values however you like, it is set default at 75% and 80%.

The calculator is most unique from the Official Agloco calculator because it does not require you to estimate referrals, and gives you a value for hours as well as money earned every month.

It gives a money value by multiplying your hours ( after they have been modified by the conversion ratios) by the estimated share price. A lot like my original earnings assesment the default share price is at $0.50 a share. This is based on average AllAdvantage earnings.

According to where I am at right now in referrals (431 Total) and keeping the default values of 75%, 80%, and$0.50 The calculator estimates as of now I will be earning $164.13 a month.

This number will likely increase every month as my network grows.

    Agloco Traffic 2

On January 22 I made a post about Agloco's traffic ranking, which was at 6,088 (Alexa.com rating)

Today almost a month later Agloco.com is ranked 3,597 (Alexa.com rating)

The traffic graph shows a continuing growth trend with large spikes and small declines. In the last 3 months Agloco has climbed 820, 355 spaces up in ranking.

The growth and popularity of Agloco just astound me, these stats are unbelievable for a company which has not even been fully released yet. Imagine the growth that will occur upon the release of the Viewbar, both in general popularity and mainly Agloco members.

And speaking of Agloco member count, last referral ID I saw was at BBBX so we are at approximately 220 000 members. Again I stress this is excellent growth as the company is not even fully released yet.

If you stumbled on this page from a search engine, forum or chat you have just discovered an excellent opportunity, where if you become a member you will also become part of the next Internet phenomenon. Better still you will own shares in the next YouTube. Its not too late join now!

    Agloco Featuring Blog's

I am happy to announce The Agloco Network has been added to the "Blogs Around the World" section of the Agloco website. It is great to see Agloco recognising peoples efforts of members in the development of Agloco.

It is always a treat when I visit the Agloco website or even blog and see an update. As I have mentioned before Agloco's efforts in updating and personalising blog post's and website content really gives insight on the genuine nature of this company. Thus once again making us feel the fact that as a member of Agloco you build and essentially own Agloco.

By the way, that blogs list ( "Fellow Agloco'ers" ) on the right side bar of my page could get a lot larger. I notice a lot of people are adding my blog to their site without any notice. I feel I should return the favour and also add your blog! So any of you out there who want to spread the popularity of your blog just comment here and you will be added to my page.

    Answers from Agloco

Recently on the Official Agloco Blog some very pressing and popular questions were addressed by Brian Greenwald of the AGLOCO Development Team. Thank you Brian and Agloco as such posts as your last one really do make us members feel just how important we are to the growth and development of this company. It is not often you are able to ask companies such questions and actually get a non generic response back.

This is what Mr. Greenwald had to say:

" One of the many functions of the AGLOCO Company Blog is to field some questions posed in comments and elsewhere. I will talk about a few of those now.

First: No, Alice, I am not married and yes, I have a girlfriend. And for Bill, I work mainly on the Revenue team at AGLOCO (in the transactions area of revenue), but as with any small start-up company, most people help out in more than one area.

Forms of Payments to Members: AGLOCO will make cash payments to Members in various forms, always trying to minimize costs and balance that with Member convenience. Forms should include bank-to-bank (ACH), PayPal (and similar), credit to cards (like VISA), and checks in the mail. We will also try to pay in local currencies wherever possible (I heard the question on eGold and I do not have the answer yet).

Member Calculator: If you’ve taken a look at the AGLOCO website lately, you’ll notice that we’ve improved the Member Calculator page based on your suggestions. The mechanics of the calculator are the same, but we have clarified some of the text and added an example to illustrate how it might be used. Let us know what you think!

Viewbar Status: Here’s the quick report. The good news is that the Viewbar release is currently slated for March. And the bad news is the Viewbar release is currently slated for March.
Obviously, I have two minds when it comes to this. I really want the Viewbar out there. I want Members to start using it. I want advertisers and online merchants using it. And I want to start generating revenue for Members and the company.
On the other hand, I also want more time to get ready for the Viewbar. As a part of the AGLOCO Revenue team, I want to have more time to get more agreements in place so the Viewbar makes more money even at the start.
I hear two minds from Members as well. Some Members want the Viewbar out because it would help in recruiting, and because they are eager to start earning. Other Members have expressed that they do not want it out right now because they want more time to get their networks growing before the Viewbar attracts so much recruiting competition.
Thus my mixed feelings. I will try to keep you posted on this on a weekly or bi-weekly basis until it is released (if I bug the engineers too often, they ‘snarl’ at me).

Equity/shares: As stated in previous comments, due to legal restrictions in many countries regarding a discussion of a company’s equity/shares, sales, earnings, and other things of that nature, this blog unfortunately cannot address any of those issues. This would also be true if we were Google, Yahoo, IBM, Toyota, eBay, or any other company (basically, all companies have strict controls on making forward-looking statements on these topics).

How much will I make from AGLOCO? This question has the same legal restrictions regarding “earnings” as equity/stock. There are a number of Member studies and reports out there which give their opinions. I usually find them in a search of Technorati or Google Blogs. "

As Brian mentioned the Viewbar will be released in March. I have pondered the pro's and con's of the delay of the Viewbar, in the long run it is beneficial to delay. I would rather have a flawless Viewbar ( which is central to the whole concept) and wait another month, rather than an unreliable Viewbar which could jeapordize the future success of Agloco.

So for those of you who have just discovered the wonder of Agloco you have a good month to build a huge network ( I built my network to over 300 referrals in 1 month with out spending a dime, so it is possible)

    The Value of Church

I was thinking this morning while in the shower. A number of different things crossed my mind... that Physics Lab due tomorrow, how much should I spend on repairing my car? And as I always find Agloco crossed my mind. I was specifically trying to figure out why any one would be reluctant to try Agloco out. To me it almost seems like a no brainer, a program which pays you for surfing the web, and is free to join. So this led me to think in the shoes of the doubter. And this is what I found...

Most people who hear about Agloco, yet are reluctant to join are reluctant for these reasons, Privacy and Legitimacy.

How do you explain and dispel any myths about Agloco?

Well as far as the legitimacy part goes, whenever some one says Agloco is a scam etc. I ask:

" Have you heard of AllAdvantage"

and then I explain what it was all about, and conclude saying something along the lines of

"If AllAdvantage est. 1999 8 years ago was able to earn 200 million dollars in two years, and even more important paid out more than 100 million of that 200 million to its members, then how can you question the legitimacy of Agloco when it has been created by the same founders of AllAdvantage?"

This usually clears any legitimacy doubts people have. Still I am left with the privacy question. Regardless of the fact that Agloco simply states it has a strict privacy policy, most people will not listen. When they hear what the Viewbar does they get scared ( it reminds them of data mining spyware.) Which it is NOT. This is where Ray Everett- Church comes in. While pondering how I would clear any privacy doubts about Agloco I began to realise just how much of an asset Ray Everett- Church is.

    - Ray Everett- Church the Chief Privacy Officer of Agloco

    - Ray Everett- Church the FIRST Chief Privacy Officer

    - Ray Everett- Church the FIRST Chief Privacy Officer employed by ALLADVANTAGE

    - AllAdvantage from the same creators of AGLOCO

Can you guess what the role of a Chief Privacy Officer is?

Looking at those statements gives you a fortified confidence in the privacy policy of Agloco. It should be stressed that Mr. Everett- Church is no random dummy that Agloco picked up and decided to call the Chief Privacy Officer to give a good appearance. Rather, Church is a lead in the field of Internet privacy, and is a highly respected and known individual in the Internet world.

And if that doesn't convince the doubters... He wrote "Internet Privacy for Dummies" Damnit! As well as "Fighting Spam for Dummies" as well. Let the Spam one be a lesson to the spammers, I wouldn't want to test the Agloco admin, I believe them when they say they will ban members for spamming.

So you see the value of Ray Everett- Church? Without him, it would be extremely difficult to gain trust from any one looking into Agloco. Make sure you mention this to all prospective Agloco'ers. Stress the fact that Agloco knows the value of user privacy and all of our information will be kept safe and secure while using the viewbar.

    Agloco Member Account

Lately I have seen a lot of questions floating around blogs and forums regarding payment medium. Agloco has officially stated on the Agloco website that we will be paid in check form through the mail (for cash earnings.) The reason for all of this confusion is basically attributed to the poorly formatted Member Account Page. That would be the page each Agloco member can sign into to view their referral progress. Now from what it looks like many Agloco members, or at least many new Agloco members have not stumbled upon the "My Profile" tab.

The "My Profile" link is located in the drop down menu under "My Account"

Immediately to the right of the payment form Agloco states:

"We need your address to send you your checks. Fake information may disqualify your account. Click here to see our privacy policy "

    Here is a screen shot:

This should answer the common question of "How am I going to get paid?" "They don't even have my mailing address"

The Agloco Interview video featuring two founding Agloco members does at some point explain payment form and check by mail was mentioned and also the possibility of Paypal payments.

I have been trying to get that video on the blog but it wont let me embed it because of a code error.

Anyways I hope that clears a few questions up.

    Agloco User Ages

So how old are you fellow Agloco'er? Because of Agloco's philosophy we should be seeing results from the youngest ages, evenly distributed all the way to the oldest.
If you do happen to be really young (younger than 18), you should probably check here to see if you need a parental consent form (depends on country). The parental consent form, is a simple one page form that you need your parents/or legal guardian to sign and send. Just like permission for a school trip.

    Agloco Traffic

    agloco.com Currently Ranked 6,088 (Alexa.com rating)

Here is the traffic trend for Agloco. As you can see from the graph there was a massive spike right after release, and then a drastic decrease. It looks as though the traffic had been decreasing gradually up until now. If you look closely the line is starting to increase again. I expect there to be a huge spike at the time of the Viewbar release.

I have heard Alexa traffic stats are not totally accurate however, the true traffic stats are likely to be pretty close to the actual numbers.

    Put Your Heart Into It

Things are turning out just as I suspected for many Agloco'ers. Many have turned first to friends and family in hopes that they join the Agloco phenom you discovered. Well yes, you're right there is nothing wrong with this. In fact most websites recommend recruiting friends and family first. I on the other hand believe it is really just a waste of time.

    Reason:
The great majority of your family and friends will only join out of a polite and kind gesture to you.

    So?
Because they are only joining out of kindness to their best friend, son, cousin or girlfriend, it is likely They don't actually care about Agloco and thus will not help the network grow. Referrals who do not refer others are to be frank, worthless in the grand scheme of things. Don't get upset, they are only worthless when it comes down to Agloco.

But don't worry. I know some of you are probably thinking "Sh** all my direct referrals are friends and family, and that could be why I have no extended" ...well you might thinking this if you give a hoot about what my opinion is :)

    Its All right...
A special scenario could possibly take place for you. When the Viewbar is finally released, an increased buzz and talk about Agloco will take place. This elevated buzz at the time of the release will catch the attention of that relative who signed up. Not to mention the Agloco notification email that I hope to God is going to be sent to all members whether active or not. This should rekindle interest, and perhaps spark action.

Anyways, that was just a ramble on an observation I have made. By all means continue recruiting friends and family if it works for you. Who's to say another family member or friend is not as ambitious as you?

As for me, my direct referrals who are from across the world - Estonia to Malaysia- they are really in the Agloco spirit. In fact they are working so hard that 86% of my referrals are attributed to them ( I must suck at this)

My Network is a perfect example of the value of a quality direct referral.

Yea I know it doesnt match McCall's 10,000 large. McCall is in the top .02 percent!

... I'm gonna get there soon enough...

If you have not joined Agloco, don't worry your not too late. McCall has not recruited everyone yet.

Agloco Detailed Analysis - Simmons Report

This is a great report which was blogged by the "Simmons Report" December 6, 2006. Any one who is already a member of Agloco should read it and any prospective Agloco members who are still sitting on the edge should most definitely read it. It is very in depth and informative. Great Report Simmons!

This report makes very modest estimates in regards to Agloco's member size in one year, how much we will make when Agloco is publicly traded, and how much our direct and extended referrals are and will be worth. This is basically a financial report complete with a list of people involved with the company.

    Conclusions the report makes are:

    • A user who has no referrals should receive ownership in AGLOCO worth on average about $150. (plus monthly cash distributions)
    • The average value of an AGLOCO user’s referral network should be $30 each in ownership shares plus the referrer’s share of monthly cash distribution.
    • The average AGLOCO direct referral should be worth in excess of $3,000 each (see example below for details)
    • The analysis also shows a range of monthly cash distributions of between $5 and $15 a month per user.
    • The AGLOCO business model looks theoretically sound – (assuming they get to a decent size quickly - at least 500,000 users within nine months to a year)

    Practice What You Preach

An important point that I recommend all Agloco members take note of is that they practice what they preach. What do I mean by that?

I am sure many of the Agloco'ers who are building massive networks are not even going to use their Viewbar. Many are probably thinking "I have thousands of referrals and they can accumulate all the hour for me."

Agloco has come up with a simple method to stop people from doing this and because of this method Agloco will stay alive.

First of all you only earn 1/4 of shares (and money) per hour of Viewbar time your network members have. The second and most important fact to note is, regardless of how many hours you have earned due to your network members viewbar usage, you only reap the percentage of hours you have accumulated on your own. Get that?

Okay say your referrals all accumulate 125 hrs of viewbar time in August. And you only accumulate 2.5 hours. Because you only accumulated 50% of the five hour maximum you will only accumulate 50% of your referrals hours and thus will earn less shares. So instead of 125 hours you will now only receive 62.5 hours out of a possible 125. Shame on you!

This really is a great idea! Because now we know, that anyone who is going to actively build the Network will actually use the Viewbar. Who would want all that hard work of building a network go to waste? All you have to do is surf the net for five hours a month (with the Viewbar running of course) to reap potentially thousands of hours.

Here is another little piece of info for all Agloco members planning on using the Viewbar. The Viewbar sits on the bottom of your desktop, however you can minimize it and still have it running. Remember: You don't get paid, or accumulate hours when it is minimized, it doesn't matter if it is still open, the Viewbar has to be in plain view.
